Our lender panel
The main types of business lender
Business lenders fall into a few broad groups, and each suits different kinds of deal. Our panel is small and growing: the lenders we currently work with are shown on our lenders page. We do not cover every lender in the market.
High street banks
Often the lowest cost for established, profitable businesses with strong accounts and security but slower process with stricter criteria.
Challenger banks
Newer banks, often with quicker decisions and an appetite for established SMEs and particular sectors.
Specialist lenders
Focused on one product - invoice finance, asset finance, trade finance or merchant cash advance - and often more flexible on criteria within it.
Alternative & private lenders
Can move quickly on complex, time-critical or non-standard deals, usually at a higher cost.

01What does a business finance broker do?
A business finance broker helps a company find suitable finance, prepare its application and deal with lenders, so the directors do not have to approach each lender alone. Welcome Finance is a commercial finance broker, not a lender: we introduce your company to suitable lenders on our panel, and the lender makes the decision.
Welcome Finance is a trading name of Welcome Business Solutions Ltd. We are not authorised or regulated by the FCA, and we arrange unregulated business finance only.
02Who do we help?
We work with UK limited companies, LLPs and partnerships of four or more partners. Each lender sets its own minimum trading period, from a few months to two or three years, and its own turnover requirements.
We do not arrange property finance, mortgages, commercial mortgages, bridging loans or anything secured on a home.
03What types of business finance do we arrange?
We arrange three main families of business finance, plus funding for growth and buying a business. The right one depends on what the money is for and where your cash is tied up.
- Business loans: unsecured and secured loans, working capital, and VAT and corporation tax loans.
- Asset finance: hire purchase, leasing, vehicle finance and refinancing equipment you already own.
- Cash flow finance: invoice finance, merchant cash advances, revolving credit, and trade and stock finance.
- Growth finance and acquisition finance: funding to expand or to buy another business.
04How does the process work?
The process runs from a short eligibility check to the lender paying out, with the same person helping you throughout. You can read more on how it works.
- Check your eligibility in about 60 seconds. It does not affect your credit score.
- Your relationship manager talks through what you need and when.
- We identify suitable lenders on our panel and explain how we are paid.
- You decide whether to apply. Lenders then run their own credit checks.
- We help you compare any offers on total cost, security and personal guarantees.
- You accept an offer, sign the agreement and the lender pays out.
05How are we paid?
We do not charge you a fee. We are paid a commission by the lender when your finance completes.
You can ask us how much we will receive, and the amount can differ between lenders. Full details are on our how we are paid page.
06Why does a dedicated relationship manager matter?
Every client has a dedicated relationship manager, a real person you can reach by phone, email and chat, from your first enquiry until the lender pays out the funds. You never have to explain your business again to someone new.
Your relationship manager learns how your company trades, explains each lender's requests in plain English and chases progress, so you can keep running the business while the finance moves forward.
07Common questions about using a business finance broker
Is Welcome Finance a lender?
No. We are a commercial finance broker. Lenders on our panel make their own decisions, so approval is never certain.
Will checking eligibility affect our credit score?
No. Our check takes about 60 seconds and does not affect your credit score. Lenders run their own credit checks later, only if you decide to apply.
Does it cost anything to use Welcome Finance?
No fee is charged to you. The lender pays us a commission when the finance completes.
Is business finance regulated?
Lending to limited companies, LLPs and partnerships of four or more partners is generally not regulated by the FCA, and Consumer Credit Act protections generally do not apply. Read every agreement carefully and take independent advice if anything is unclear.
Common questions
Will checking my eligibility affect my credit score?
No. Our eligibility check does not run a credit search. If you go on to apply, lenders will usually run credit checks on the company and often on the directors. We will tell you before your details go to any lender.
Are you a lender?
No. Welcome Finance is a commercial finance broker, not a lender. We compare offer options from the lenders and help your company apply to the ones most likely to fit.
How fast can I get funding?
It depends on factors like the type of loan, the lender and how quickly you can provide documents. Some unsecured loans and merchant cash advances can pay out within a few working days of approval; asset and invoice finance typically take one to three weeks; larger secured and acquisition facilities often take longer because of valuations and legal work.
Do you charge a fee?
No. We don’t charge your business a fee. We are paid a commission by the lender when your finance completes. If you ask, we will tell you how much we will receive.
Who can Welcome Finance help?
We arrange unregulated business finance for UK limited companies, LLPs and partnerships of four or more partners.
Is Welcome Finance regulated by the FCA?
No. Welcome Business Solutions Ltd is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We only arrange unregulated commercial finance.
Do you arrange mortgages or property finance?
No. We focus on business loans, asset finance and cash-flow finance. We do not arrange residential or commercial mortgages, bridging loans or development finance.
Can you help if I have poor credit?
Sometimes. Some lenders look beyond credit scores at turnover, bank statements, security and the strength of the deal. Recent missed payments, CCJs or HMRC arrears narrow the options, so tell us upfront. We will only approach lenders likely to consider you, and tell you honestly if we can’t help.
Will I have to give a personal guarantee?
Often, yes. Many lenders ask directors or partners to personally guarantee business borrowing, especially unsecured loans. A guarantee means you could be personally liable if the business cannot repay. We will tell you whether a lender requires one, and we recommend taking independent legal advice before you sign.
